Picture is of a used seal.    We will ship a new flat seal..  Once the jam nut is installed,  The lead seal will take shape.   

The lead seal helped the factory install the valve faster... Once the guide was installed,, they would smash the lead down to hold the valve in place, Then it would go to the next person for the jam nut install.. Basically it kept the valve from falling out as it went down the assembly line.
