Got Milk?

Got Milk?

By Andrew R Hey Guys,      I have a quick story about meeting and playing Paintball with Glenn in Australia in 1995 (i think?). Paintball had been legalized a couple of years earlier and we in Oz started to get a tournament circuit off the ground. The Southern Cross Masters Paintball Tournament was set to be held near Newcastle in New South Wales in our Winter (your Summer) and I don't remember the circumstances of how we got Glenn to Oz (and his fellow US Paintballers) to play at the Tournament but I do remember the buzz it created on the...

The Experience

The Experience

by Author = unknown  And it came to pass that I was permitted to witness the birth of Typhoon. Not just a typhoon. For while the name is similar to others, this birth is unique - never to have occurred before, and never to occur again. And I, being nothing in the eyes of the master, I was witness to it all. Out of the mystical treasure room comes several gleaming brass tubes. I am unworthy to know the source of the metal - it is a secret kept very strict. However, there are stories that it comes from...

Typhoon vs. Stroker

Typhoon vs. Stroker

Let me put it this way. If I could have gotten the performance that I wanted from the standard Sheridan valve system and the way it is arranged inside the gun, I would not have needed to make a new gun at all. Keep in mind that a Stroker is little more than a SHERIDAN/PMI standard pistol that we install our automation system into. During the conversion process, we also work on the valving but there is only so much you can do in the space available. The performance characteristics of the Typhoon are derived from a gun that...

WHAT IS A VET?

WHAT IS A VET?

(author unknown) Some veterans bear visible signs of their service: a missing limb, a jagged scar, a certain look in the eye. Others may carry the evidence inside them: a pin holding a bone together, a piece of shrapnel in the leg - or perhaps another sort of inner steel: the soul's ally forged in the refinery of adversity. Except in parades, however, the men and women who have kept America safe wear no badge or emblem. You can't tell a vet just by looking. What is a vet? He is the cop on the beat who spent six months...

The Typhoon

The Typhoon

The TYPHOON is one of the oldest gravity fed semiautomatic paintguns in our sport. (The oldest is the Hurricane) It's origin dates back to August 1988, when it's stable mate, the HURRICANE was first produced. The TYPHOON was developed and brought to market in February 1990; making it's professional tournament debut at the 1990 Bay City Open. While others were still struggling with early prototypes, the Hurricane and Typhoon had established standards of performance that many could only dream of achieving. The TYPHOON is essentially a highly sophisticated pneumatic robot, incorporating specially designed pneumatic automation components to control the cycles...
